Job Description

The role

The AML Analyst will be a member of the Client Acceptance Team within the Clearance Centre and will be responsible for the day to-day assessment of new and existing clients of the firm.

The AML analyst will be responsible for ensuring that Client Due Diligence is conducted on all new clients in accordance with the firm's policy and any applicable legislation, this includes completion of an AML risk assessment.


Key Responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assessing the risk profile of new and existing clients;
  • Determining the nature and level of client due diligence required for anti-money laundering compliance purposes;
  • Assessing the overall suitability of a client for the firm, having regard to regulatory, reputational and commercial considerations;
  • Monitoring existing clients and updating relevant details;
  • Liaising with partners and lawyers throughout the Firm where appropriate;
  • Working closely with other teams within the Firm to ensure that the Clearance Centre is responsive to the needs of partners/lawyers and the firm's clients.

Qualifications

Your experience

  • Experienced in compliance, ideally gained in a leading international law practice.
  • Proven ability to solve problems in a methodical, practical way and provide solutions to client issues.
  • Knowledge of applicable anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to exercise initiative.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Firm.
  • Responsive to the demands of lawyers and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of computer systems including Windows-based pc software and database experience.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and technology.
