AML Compliance Analyst (Remote)
Job Description

About the role:
As an AML Compliance Analyst, your duties will include investigating and monitoring financial activity that appears to be suspicious. You will also analyze information received from correspondent parties and address AML economic sanctions-related alerts. Your ultimate responsibility is to prevent and uncover money-laundering activity. This role reports to the AML Compliance Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations associated with but not limited to: OFAC sanctions and screening, high risk customers, adverse media, unusual transactional history, look-backs, etc.
- Conduct CDD and EDD investigations on business applicants for potentially suspicious activity (AML) and properly disposition those cases with supporting material and descriptive analysis
- Communicate effectively and professionally with peer departments and senior management in a timely manner
- Work independently and take ownership of the working queue to meet all required SLAs
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the program and create potential solutions to present to department management
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience in financial services or related industry
- Advanced knowledge of AML Compliance and BSA
- Experience using Salesforce or Salesforce Lightning and other third party tools - i.e. Clear, LexisNexis, TinCheck, Emailage, etc.
- Effective multitasking, communication, project management and problem-solving skills
- ACAMS certification or actively pursuing
For Colorado-based candidates, the budgeted range is $45,000-$55,000 but actual compensation may vary based on experience including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
