AML Lead- Wealth Management

We are searching for an AML Lead for our Wealth Management group. The Business Unit AML Lead will be responsible for AML risk management within an assigned business unit specifically focused ensuring AML/KYC compliance, streamlining process / technology, development and delivery of training, assessment of risk, and the remediation of control issues.

• Manage and oversee the execution of AML/KYC programs in the business.
• Coordinate with WM Control and Global Compliance to maintain and enhance BAU programs.
• Represent WM in AML management and oversight forums.
• Be the AML/KYC subject matter expert within WM.
• Support the customization of Global Training materials, Procedures, etc.
• Support the definition of Business Requirements for system enhancements, ensuring that BAU Program execution is compliant with policy requirements, and to potentially define action plans to remediate gaps identified.
• Identify areas for improvement to drive sustainability and strengthen BAU programs.
• Collaborate with WM Digistal Services, Data Teams, and AML Technology to optimize process and workflow.
• Collaborate with Global Compliance to design, communicate, and oversee implementation of new requirements.
• Socialize new and revised requirements with stakeholders and inciting meaningful discussions in order to obtain relevant feedback.
• Conduct impact assessments prior to implementation of new requirements, as applicable.
• Review execution metrics and provide ongoing updates on progress to Senior Management and relevant committees and forums.
• Oversee remediation of any identified gaps, and work closely with WM Monitoring & Testing team, and GCT to ensure adherence to the policy.
• Coordinate and provide support with respect to Internal Audits and other AML reviews.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Communicates effectively with Senior Management and builds effective business relationships
• Background in Program Management
• Strong background AML/KYC
• Ability to build effective presentations to communicate information to various audiences.
• Analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative) and problem solving ability.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others to achieve objectives: leverage other people's skills and expertise.
• Ability to get up to speed quickly with new or unfamiliar subject matter.
• Experience working with Internal Audit / Compliance Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Must be able to execute under pressure, many of the projects will have very tight timelines
• Experience in delivering training to a variety of audiences.
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in financial services AML/KYC either on the first or second line of defense.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree.
