AML/KYC Program Group Manager

Job Summary/Description:

The AML KYC Operations Unit Project Group Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of critical KYC and AML projects for the AML KYC Operations organization across PBWM for Cards and Retail Bank products as it builds and deploys a controlled and effective process environment to support the Retail Bank and Cards KYC and AML activities. The Project Group Manager will be responsible for project management and execution activities affecting AML KYC Operations across CitiKYC platform and desktop workflow applications. This role reports to the AML KYC Head of Change Management and Execution. Responsibilities include:

• Providing project, program and change management oversight, with alignment to critical business goals for the PBWM AML KYC Operations function, including driving platform and application enhancements that deliver improved quality, control and process optimization
• Provide leadership to a team of ~10 PM and BA individuals including coaching and career development
• Collaborate and work with broader PBWM AML KYC Program teams to ensure AML KYC Operations engagement and representation
• Delivery of AML KYC Operations future phases of CitiKYC and and workflow application enhancements, as well as driving the AML KYC Operations road map.
• Ensure projects are effectively planned, monitored, and driven while escalating and addressing key risks
• Effectively prioritize initiatives, balancing effort and impact
• Partner with Finance and Business to ensure prioritized projects are fully funded for the upcoming year.
• Manage the expense run rate against approved dollars to ensure all prioritized projects are implemented as planned.
• Ensure appropriate alignment of resources in order to drive strategic value
• Leverage a "lean" mindset in order to simplify operational initiatives and ensure an environment of continuous improvement
• Maintain strong working relationship with Technology, AML KYC Program Office, Compliance, Business and AML KYC Operations
• Work with stakeholders to identify optimal solutions
• Collaborate with AML KYC Operation teams, Technology, Compliance and Business partners to ensure operational readiness for all BOW initiatives

Job Skills/Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
• CAPM, PMP, PgMP, and or MBA are a plus
• Demonstrated a consistent track record managing large-scale, cross-functional projects
• Experience in Agile Project Management preferred
• Experience with Lean process improvement preferred
• Operations experience is required
• Experience of leading and delivering technology programs supporting operational platforms such as Contact Management, Workflow, Management Information and Data Quality.
• Regulatory, compliance and / or operational risk and control experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with experience of Operational MIS
• Strong influencing skills; an ability to build/create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
• Able to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functional and organizational boundaries to optimize results
• Continuous Improvement mindset
• Minimum of 5 years project/program management experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years people management experience preferred
