The Precision Amplifier Group seeking a motivated, experienced AMS Design Verification Engineer to provide support to our Instrumentation Business Unit located at ADI's Wilmington, MA headquarters. Our group supports a broad portfolio of analog and digital technologies which solve problems in many industries. The team of analog and digital designers, layout engineers, and design verification engineers focus on creating precision amplifier designs which are used in both stand-alone and highly integrated solutions that enable innovations in a wide variety of applications.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing verification strategies for mixed-signal designs
  • Creating test benches to verify the performance of precision amplifier designs
  • Creating behavioral models of analog circuits
  • Use behavioral models to enable comprehensive, top-down, metric-driven verification of new analog and mixed-signal designs
  • Verifying that a design meets the project's technical requirements

The position is part of a cross-functional team and close interaction with analog and digital designers as well as other verification engineers is expected.

Minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Fundamental grasp of Analog and Digital Circuit Design
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, or Perl
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Some experience with simulation tool suites such as Cadence or Synopsys
  • Data analysis and visualization skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of standard verification flows including UVM, testbench automation, coverage-based metrics
  • Knowledge of verification languages like Verilog/ Verilog A, SystemVerilog, Verilog-AMS, System-C, etc
  • Experience with C++ and Matlab
  • Experience designing and modelling analog and mixed-signal circuits
