We are seeking an Analyst to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York city. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. If you are committed to excellence and ready to contribute to a dynamic culture, we would love to meet you.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform financial modeling and analysis for the purposes of both analyzing lease and capital transactions.
- Market research for both internal and external presentations.
- Tracking of portfolio performance and analyzing how potential leases, acquisitions and dispositions impact the overall portfolio
- Researching credit profiles, investment strategies and operating methodologies of existing and potential tenants
- Collate and provide information to external sources including potential tenants and investors both at a property and portfolio level
- Routine reporting to be assigned to individual participants on an as needed basis
- Interact with brokers/potential tenants through presentations and property tours
- Compile and coordinate leasing activity and building status reporting activities as well as extensive involvement with budgeting and forecasting
- Plan and assist with the due diligence process
- Travel alongside senior colleagues to review assets
- Attend various real estate functions as a representative of Brookfield
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's job degree in related major, business or finance a plus
- Strong quantitative background ideally in business finance (corporate finance) and general accounting
- Working knowledge of Argus preferred
- Demonstrated interest in real estate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
- Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to succeed in a team environment
- Languages a plus, as is flexibility to travel/work in different geographic locations

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Exempt/Non-exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Retirement: 401(k)
Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
