Job Description

This position provides support to the Asset Management team with regard to financial decisions affecting Houston Real Estate Assets. As a member of the Asset Management team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that will utilize your business knowledge and skills, while providing you the opportunity to develop new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the property budgeting process and the preparation of the company business plan
  • Support preparation of quarterly board materials and other regular reporting
  • Assisting in analyzing new leasing deals
  • Responsible for inputs and ensure the accuracy of real estate based financial models (ARGUS)
  • Assist team as necessary, including the preparation of various ad-hoc analyses (Excel based)
  • Miscellaneous projects with other departments and corporate team members
  • Co-ordinate external appraisals. Compare and review results to make recommendations to senior managers

PERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written) and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision and independently when required
  • Demonstrated flexibility, strong organizational skills, and detail orientation
  • A team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional with a positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively balance a varied workload involving numerous projects and overlapping time constraints to meet tight deadlines

EDUCATION/DESIGNATIONS/LICENSES:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis and real estate
  • University degree in business, accounting, or economics

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced MS Office Excel
  • Exposure to ARGUS Enterprise preferred
