Core Responsibilities

  • The Analyst is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, efficient and economical generation of electricity and/or steam by tracking and analyzing generating station operational data, evaluating equipment performance, developing IT solutions to improve Steam Operations processes and procedures as well as responding to corporate cyber security requirements.
  • At Con Edison we all need to take special interest in our customers, both within the company and externally. Ensure commitment to the ideals of developing a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all our stakeholders.
  • Leverage technology to identify trends, analyze and interpret data for efficiency improvements in station performance with a goal of moving from time-based monitoring toward condition-based monitoring, and improving efficiency in Steam Services and Station Performance reporting.
  • Design, configure and maintain various levels of Dashboards with data from queries in Maximo enterprise asset management platform.
  • Design, configure, test, implement, enhance, and support SharePoint sites to meet internal needs (process flow, content structure, information architecture, permissions).
  • Develop and maintain Steam SharePoint sites for information exchange and reporting.
  • Liaison between IT Planning cyber security team, station technical managers and central engineering to ensure all Steam Operations cyber assets are protected and any updates, patches, or scans are performed throughout the organization in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Review, analyze and upgrade Asset Management and Work Management platforms as available to improve performance and productivity.
  • Assist in Steam Operations IT projects from initiation through project completion. This includes creating project scoping documents, appropriation and requisitions for the acquisition of new technology, management of the software vendors, implementing system changes, updating current working estimates for each project and addressing all technical questions through full project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive IT asset management database and review with engineering to identify necessary updates and future IT infrastructure related projects.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience or
  • Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience or
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, IT, or related technical discipline and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Associate's Degree Engineering, IT, or related technical discipline and 4 years of relevant experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Knowledge of corporate IT system architecture is required Required and
  • Office 365 Proficiency Required and
  • Must be highly dedicated with strong communication/interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and lead a team as required Required and
  • Candidate must be flexible to handle multiple assignments Required and
  • Experience in Computer Hardware and Software troubleshooting Required and
  • Knowledge of ConEdison steam/Power, which include boilers, combustion turbines, steam turbines, plant inspection and the balance of plant auxiliaries Preferred and
  • Ability to run queries on Maximo, create dashboards reflecting Result Sets and KPIs for various employee functions. Preferred and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps Preferred and
  • Experience in software design and/or implementation Preferred and
  • Knowledge of cyber security industry standards Preferred
  • Programming Experience in Python, Power Fx, or other programming language Preferred
  • Experience in Maximo Asset/Work Management and Oracle EBS Supply Chain platforms Preferred
  • Knowledge of Aveva Pi historian Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

  • Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within company service territory, as needed.
