Analyst

Position Overview:

The Analyst is Lockton Northeast's entry level position and is designed for a recent college graduate or experienced professional with 1 - 2 years of relevant insurance experience. The Analyst will be part of our Career Foundations Program which is designed to provide the technical and practical training needed to develop the Analyst as they look forward to a successful and long-term career in the Lockton Northeast Series. The Analyst is responsible for day to day Client service and renewal support to Client Managers, Senior Client Managers and / or Account Executives. A high performing and successful Analyst will provide great customer service and support to the broader client team.

• The entrepreneurial spirit, with a desire to learn the Property and Casualty insurance industry and grow within the Company
• The initiative to actively participate in the Career Foundations Program and to pursue technical excellence through professional designations, industry workshops etc.

Core Responsibilities:

• Supports the Account Executives, Senior Client Managers and Client Managers in:

o Responding to Client's inquiries, maintaining documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions

o The implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and Carrier

o Providing Client service aligned with Lockton Northeast processes / protocols and our overall Client Engagement strategy

o Gathering and compiling exposure information from the Client, including compiling loss-run schedules and Client stratifications

o Requesting and securing quotes from insurers

o Audits, quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as needed

o Following up for insurance policies then updates and completes policy check to ensure completeness

o Updating specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the year

o Informing Client of any and all changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverage

o Creating and sending compliance communications as needed

o Preparing / drafting Client Engagement documents (Renewal Strategy, Stewardship and Renewal Presentations)

• Works with Technical Services Assistant to issue and process Invoices, Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards
• Resolves accounting issues
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience required
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
• Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel as needed
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Legally able to work in the United States
