Analyst, Accounting Business Data, South Bend, IN

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for analyzing data and developing financial, regulatory, and management reports. Responsible for oversight of multiple loan and lease software applications and function as administrator for loan and lease systems and lead resource for system upgrades, conversions and staff training.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Provides information and analytical reports used in internal and external financial reports (i.e., Call Report, SEC reporting, Annual Report, Board Reports, Executive Management Reports, Dashboards, etc.).
• Updates and enhances existing reports to improve performance and productivity.
• Supports management on special projects - analytical requests, special reports, complex analysis of system output, etc.
• Develops standard, ad hoc and analytical reports for business users, using current and historical data and performs statistical and regression analysis.
• Validates data on various systems / reports developed by other users and IT staff.
• Provides technical operations support for business unit. Serve as liaison on escalating technical issues to the IT department.
• Serves as primary contact for system users related to software issues and functionality.
• Manages and coordinates loan and lease software application conversions, upgrades and new releases.
• Identifies new features and functionality and assesses impact on processes and operations.
• Manages test plans, coordinate testing, review test results and provide staff training.
• Plays an active role with various vendor software user groups.
• Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
• Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of financial analysis, modeling, systems and reporting.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles preferred.

• Knowledge of Loan/Lease accounting concepts and automated support systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and data extract tools (e.g., Cognos, Power BI).

• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required; concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business or Data Science.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
