Job Purpose

Responsible for the reconciliation of actual costs to estimated costs on CIAC projects and meeting performance metrics. Will prioritize work to meet expectations and deliver results in line with customer and business objectives. Key contacts will include internal stakeholders including job owners, and managers.

Role reports to: Lead Supervisor, SAP Billing

Key Accountabilities

• Reconcile actual costs associated with CIAC projects versus the job estimates and formulate final bill for the customer. Will be responsible for tracking and meeting performance goals.
• Develop a working understanding of the applicable regulations we operate under (example tariffs). Will need to apply tariff rules to project work and determine whether costs are reimbursable.
• Identify, address and resolve complex issues. Be able to analyze themes and trends from a range of sources and systems to identify opportunities
• Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid.
• Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies within assigned area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area preferred and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of progressive growth in business support roles.
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite and other technical skills required.
• Knowledge of SAP-GUI and HANA-BI preferred.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to both internal and external customers.
• Familiarity with electric and gas utility accounting and finance requirements; knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation, including developments in regulation.
• Experience in utility service billing, business activities and systems (SAP, CSS, CRS) preferred.
• Basic understanding of Relational Database Management Systems and related data management concepts preferred.

$62,000 - $73,000 a year

Salary commensurate with location and experience
