Tempus is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the Analyst role on the Commercial Strategy team. This role will broadly support our Sequencing business, primarily focused on healthcare providers and systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a movement to help improve cancer care with data and artificial intelligence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead commercial strategy for the oncology sequencing business
- Work collaboratively across commercial, medical, product, research and development, operations, data science, and laboratory teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new and existing products and services
- Conduct robust customer, competitor, and broad market intelligence analysis in the next-generation sequencing space across disease areas
- Analyze large sets of internal and market data to develop market insights and tangible strategies for Tempus success across markets and disease areas
- Evaluate product-market fit and market opportunities for current and proposed Tempus product portfolio
- Present to Tempus leadership on analysis and commercial recommendations
- Support management and design of product and service launches across cross functional teams
- Scope potential partnerships to help Tempus bring value to physicians and patients across diseases
- Scope and communicate commercial priorities for product and R&D roadmaps
- Support cross functional reporting and management of key business priorities and adherence to short-term and long-term strategy in the Oncology business unit
Qualifications
- 1+ years of post-grad experience in consulting, banking, or business analytics experience
- Healthcare background is a plus
- Excel and Powerpoint savvy
- Strong data manipulation and analysis skills
- Ability to tackle large, ambiguous problems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter and ability to work quickly and judiciously
- Organized and able to effectively balance priorities
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across departments (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, Operations, Product, etc.)
