Analyst, Data Operations (Google)

Essence is seeking a smart and ambitious Data Operations Analyst as part of the Global Data Governance and Operations team to provide quality assurance oversight on business processes where data is collected, stored, transformed or used. The candidate will periodically collect and review reports to uncover any data errors and to coordinate correction with internal and external teams. 

Some of the things we'd like you to do:

• Identify data accuracy issues by comparing data from digital media platforms to client specific reporting database
• Investigate, troubleshoot and document data issues accordingly
• Working with teams across offices, provide first-line support to help users overcome data quality issues and track progress of issue resolution
• Evaluate large datasets and ensure adherence to data quality standards such as compliance to naming conventions
• Update and maintain QA dashboards that report on weekly data accuracy in most easily consumable way and surface the key insights from the data

A bit about yourself:

• Programming experience in Javascript, SQL, Python/R, or Big Query
• A strong, methodical approach to problem-solving
• Detail Oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good project/time management and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Data Studio
