SUMMARY

The Digital Solutions Analyst is part of a Digital Solutions team tasked with planning, managing and operating the digital platforms that supports the JOANN website and mobile applications; focused on accelerating Omni-Channel growth while preserving the established revenue streams. The Solutions Analyst works in partnership with the Digital Solutions Product Managers to drive the product vision, build a strategy that connects the current business state to the desired state, and execute against it to bring everything to life. This requires internal collaboration, external collaboration, and cross-functional partnership with key stakeholders. A deep understanding of current customer trends, existing problems, and defining areas of opportunity are crucial to the success of this role. Data analysis and interpretation of metrics will be part of the regular cadence, and play an intricate role in defining the short and long-term roadmap. The vision for this role is to bring world-class e-commerce expertise to the online businesses, drive an increase in top-line sales, reduce the consumer adoption curve, and create a lift in customer retention. The Digital Solutions Analyst serves as a liaison between the business groups and IT, interacting with all levels within the organization to create and maintain the partnership for bridging business needs with technology delivery. This individual works closely with the business partners to enable business success through IT solutions. This role actively participates on agile teams for assigned portfolio of products, providing input on requirements, designs, schedules, testing and potential problems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  • Partner with key stakeholders from different functional areas to understand business needs and how it impacts the ongoing development, testing and operations of our digital solutions.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams (External Partners, IT, Analytics, QA, Merchandising, Marketing) to ensure the delivery of quality enhancements and feature sets that meet the complex needs of customers.
  • Assists with the understanding, clarification, and implementation of business requirements
  • Leads small projects writing, prioritizing and managing all product user stories and properly articulate and document user story acceptance criteria
  • Executes a testing approach for all work elements ensuring quality delivery
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements in accordance with design specifications
  • Coordinates activities for UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Identifies and drives resolution of critical issues impacting the successful delivery of the project
  • Implements change management and training plans for successful project adoption
  • Assist the team on other priorities & projects, including assisting other business teams with setup, troubleshooting and validation of systems content.
  • Works cross-functionality on platform operations and to triage customer reported issues
  • Participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos and retrospectives
  • Become familiar with the latest technologies and trends in digital commerce

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, IT or other related field
  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years in a business or technical role with focus on digital systems, ideally eCommerce and/or mobile applications in a retail environment. Experience using Agile development methodologies and familiarity using JIRA to document business requirements and organizing work into Epics, User Stories and writing Acceptance Criteria.
  • Preferred Experience: Omni-Channel Retail experience preferred. Experience in scrum/agile development methodology preferred
