Bellwether Asset Management, Inc. (“BWAM”) is a privately held firm located in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in the management, analysis, and reporting of over $24 billion of AUM across a wide range of real estate-related assets and corporate platforms in North America, Europe and Asia.
Overview
We are looking to hire an ESG Analyst to join our rapidly growing team and ESG platform. The ideal candidate has strong interest in sustainability and a desire to achieve ESG goals for BWAM and its institutional clients. The ESG analyst will support our ESG client reporting efforts and will be responsible for the collection and analysis of real estate ESG data across multiple portfolios. While not a pre-requisite to the role, the ESG Analyst is expected to develop a deep understanding of the material ESG reporting frameworks and requirements.
The role will include cross-functional involvement with many aspects of the BWAM real estate platform, our clients and external parties, providing expansive opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities
- Help execute ESG strategies and initiatives on behalf of clients
- Gather, consolidate and analyze data and metrics that track progress and performance of clients’ ESG programs globally across various funds
- Assist in the production of high quality, accurate and timely reports to clients
- Liaise with consultants, clients and work closely with asset and property management teams to ensure quality and consistency of data
- Develop strong working knowledge of available ESG data sources including expertise in the utilization and interpretation of ESG related data
- Perform additional ad-hoc analysis, as needed
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience
- Sustainability experience preferred; client-facing experience preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certifications specific to ESG, sustainability, are preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation range: $90,000, plus discretionary bonus.
Offered salary is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Other compensation includes a discretionary bonus.

- Asset-level analytics: Providing quantitative and qualitative investment- and portfolio-level performance reports by consolidating and analyzing monthly operating reports produced by operating partners to track and monitor performance against initial underwriting;
- Active Asset Management Support: The team works closely with Acquisition Teams to help monitor all strategic and joint-venture operating partners on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include weekly leasing calls, monthly operations reviews, annual budget and business plan reviews and financial analysis; and
- Investment- and Fund-level Reforecasting: BWAM is responsible for creating proprietary investment-level valuation models for the portfolio to enhance our ability to reforecast investment-and fund-level performance on a routine basis.
