Job Description

We Are Brookfield Properties:

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in Washington, DC. In this role, you will play a key part in inspiring change and continual improvement. If you are committed to excellence and ready to contribute to a dynamic culture, we would love to meet you.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting
• Preparation of financial analysis, market analysis and board presentations for management review
• Analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows and valuation projections for corporate business plan
• Prepare quarterly leasing forecast, which includes updates of actual leasing activity, forecasted leasing assumptions, and early tenant expirations
• Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as needed
• Work closely with the accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relations

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related major, accounting or finance degree a plus
• 0-3 years experience in accounting and/or finance, ideally in the real estate industry
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Argus experience preferred
• Familiarity with Yardi preferred
• Ability to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systems
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
• Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Retirement: 401(k)

Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
