Analyst, Global Process Owner - Quote to Cash

About the Role
Morningstar is looking for an Analyst, GPO QTC, to join our Finance Global Process Owner team, which is focused on business partnership, innovation, automation, and process improvement.
As the Analyst, GPO QTC, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of the vision, mission, governance, and functional strategy for Morningstar's global QTC process. The role reports to the Senior Manager, GPO QTC and will provide value to the business by supporting and executing key QTC process optimization and transformation programs. The role requires the use of analytical skills to support the business in finding and capitalizing on opportunities and partnering with the corporate systems team to drive the effective and efficient performance of the QTC process. This is a full-time position and can be based in a Morningstar office in the U.S., or Canada.
Job Responsibilities• Acts as a subject matter expert in Finance for quote to cash processes and the underlying technology solutions supporting them.• Work cross-functionally with the Local Accounting, Corporate Systems, Sales Operations, and Financial Shared Services organisations to address pain points, identify potential risks, and assist with identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and optimization.• Assist documenting existing QTC business processes, analyze data, and recommend enhanced processes.• Perform the assessment of Salesforce Jira tickets with relation to enhancements and bug fixes, document business requirements and translate to technical requirements.• Assist in developing testing scenarios, execute testing, help with deployment, change management, and adoption of finance business processes globally.• Lead the weekly Salesforce Corporate Systems prioritization meetings.• Deliver on objectives and key results, operational goals, and finance QTC transformation roadmap.• Assist in establishing and monitoring metrics.• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications• 3+ years of related experience in Accounting/Finance function for a multinational organization, including experience with quote to cash processes.• A bachelor`s degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting is preferred.• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP Revenue Recognition accounting preferred.• Proficiency with quote to cash technology solutions including Salesforce (CRM) and Oracle (ERP).• Experience documenting business process maps and writing business requirements and standard operating procedures.• Forward thinking attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.• Excellent communication and presentation skills.• Ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate cross functionally.• Ability to apply critical thinking for analysis, evaluation, reasoning and creating solutions.• Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word).• Foundational knowledge of various Project Management and Process Improvement Frameworks (Traditional/Waterfall, Agile, LEAN) and Project Management Tools (Asana, Jira)• Knowledge of RPA application and/or AI technologies within the QTC process desirable.
