Analyst, Home Services FP&A
Job Description
Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for managing financial forecasts and preparing financial and business-related analyses in support of the Home Services business unit. Will prepare P&L and cash flow forecasts, analyze business performance, review data and prepare monthly reports and metrics. Will conduct financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analyses.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain monthly forecast and annual budget financial models including detailed profit and loss, cash flows, and balance sheets.
- Work closely with the Business Segment teams to determine appropriate and accurate modeling assumptions and structuring.
- Understand, analyze, and report on actuals with monthly variance analyses.
- Perform analysis to determine present & forecast future financial performance, returns, and cash impacts.
- Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, future requirements, operating forecasts, etc.
- Assist in the development of standardized reporting of key performance indicators that will be reported in monthly scorecards and dashboards.
- Interact with other departments, and external and internal auditors to research and resolve items on a timely basis.
- Research technical issues as needed related to primary job responsibilities.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
- Monitor effectiveness of business processes, conduct analysis, make recommendations, and coordinate implementation for system and process improvements resulting in timely and correct completion of issues.
- Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of independence, effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work schedule; a combination of working remotely from home and 3-4 days a week in the office.
- Open office environment.
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
- Minimal travel required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in finance and/or accounting or comparable business field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis within the energy industry or in a shared services model.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

- Displays strong sense of ownership, ethics, and drive.
- Works independently and displays initiative, organization, and self-motivation. Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision, yet works well in a team-oriented culture.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quickly conceptualizes and assimilates data to make decisions and take appropriate action.
- Communicates purposefully to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form.
- Displays a high level of motivation and aptitude for problem solving, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excels in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and manages multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with Hyperion Planning or similar product.
