We are looking for a team player that is passionate about analytics, innovation and process improvements. The Analyst II will be responsible for the establishment and management of lanes and rates with our third-party logistics providers. You will be an active member of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team, providing analytical and data-driven recommendations on third-party logistics provider lanes and rates.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Spend Review - Logistics Third-Party Lanes and Rates

o Review spend and identify opportunities for sourcing lanes and rates

o Create/update documents and bid files in Coupa Sourcing Optimization

o Analyze provider responses, including documenting rates and determining potential savings

o Analyze and compare provider responses and recommend points for negotiation

o Analyze, review and prepare departmental data which may include spend data, supplier diversity data, pricing comparisons and bid offers

o Provide internal and external stakeholders updates to master lane and rate file documents

• Sourcing Project Coordination

o Identify potential providers for sourcing events

o Support vendor participation through the Coupa Sourcing Optimization tool

o Communicate with providers throughout the sourcing project, including coordination of responses to supplier questions and issue resolution

o Make recommendations and assist in the negotiation of lanes and rates

o Track and report milestones, savings and benefits throughout the sourcing events

• Process Efficiencies and Other Analytics/Projects

o Ongoing management of third-party logistics lanes and rates

o Provide analytics support for various projects/programs within the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization

o Special projects as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience / Education

o Bachelor's degree preferred

o Project management experience preferred

o Proven success in building relationships

o CarMax specific experience preferred

o Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

o Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with other departments

o Willingness to challenge upwards appropriately in the best interest of CarMax

o Strong internal and external customer service and organization skills

o Ability to work independently with limited supervision

o Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematics, provide analysis on procurement related subject matters

o Ability to express opinions and innovative ideas

• Technical Skillset

o Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

o Coupa Sourcing Optimization experience is a plus
