Position Description

Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment is a key requirement for this role.
As an Analyst I or II, you will play an important role in executing the strategic direction and tactical implementation of downstream marketing activities within the Clinical Development team. As a Market Implementation team member, you will support marketing activities and achieve marketing objectives for the organization to convey product and program benefits to customers and patients. Below are some common skills and qualities sought after for this role.
Campaign Management
As an Analyst I or II your responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, executing advertisements, supporting event planning (tradeshow events, webinars, trainings, etc.), generating surgeon and patient testimonials, supporting social media content (i.e., LinkedIn and Twitter), and generating campaign related assets. The Analyst will monitor campaign performance and relevant KPIs.
Content Generation
The Analyst will collect and synthesize feedback from product and program teams to appropriately communicate key features, benefits, and value to customers via campaigns and marketing material. You will brainstorm and create creative multi-channel (e.g., social media, web, print, video, etc.) content and concepts to effectively generate awareness on procedures, products, and related events. With your strong writing skills, you will contribute to writing clear, concise, and engaging content. Attention to grammar, spelling, and style is essential to maintain professionalism and credibility. The Analyst will ensure the content is up to date and relevant by redlining, routing, and frequently updating multi-channel tools and resources.
Customer Focus
You will establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical societies to gain insight into market trends, understand product adoption challenges within complex health systems, and facilitate the creation of impactful marketing collateral.
You will support internal customers by developing tactical marketing plans and contribute to launch strategies to provide tools and collateral to increase brand awareness and drive successful product adoption.
You will plan and conduct meetings, track and document project deliverables, and complete action items in a timely manner. You will maintain open lines of communication with cross-functional project stakeholders and drive projects through the appropriate legal and regulatory approval processes. The Analyst will be able to support campaign efforts and performance reviews to present the project/campaign outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
Performance Objectives
Within your first 6 months, you will be responsible for learning about our company, contributing to various projects, and leading project management initiatives.
During your first 30 days, you will:
- Learn about Applied Medical's mission and vision and take part in a variety of Applied Medical Learning foundational courses
- Discuss your goals and expectations with your team leaders and read and review all relevant team resources and materials
- Immerse yourself in team meetings and discussions
- Be familiar with Applied Medical's products, programs and relevant specialties/procedures
- Shadow team meetings, projects, stakeholder interactions, etc., to familiarize yourself to the campaign(s)
Within 60 days, you will:
- Exhibit a strong understanding of the role and responsibilities
- Support team meetings and agendas
- Take on projects that require low to moderate guidance
- Comprehend campaign analytics and be able to apply this knowledge to future campaign efforts
Within 90 days to 1 year, you will:
- Develop interpersonal connections and relationships with others to effectively accomplish project objectives and deliverables
- Lead moderate to complex projects with minimal guidance or direction
- Manage a variety of projects on your own
- Have a stronger understanding of clinical knowledge, the Applied Medical products, market segments, and the target audience
Position Requirements
The following skills and attributes are required:
- Minimum of one year of clinical and/or marketing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to compile, analyze, and present reports for sound decision-making
- Good documentation and follow-up skills
- Ability to function well under pressure and balance multiple projects
- Detail-oriented focus on project deliverables
- College degree in a related field or relevant experience
- Ability to meet all hospital credentialing requirements, which may include background check, drug screen and vaccinations
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Medical Device, Product Marketing, and/or Product Development experience
Inside the Business Group
The Clinical Development (CD) team translates the needs of the market and customer to numerous groups across Applied Medical. A CD team member works cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Branding, and other internal teams to manage the full scope of the product lifecycle. In addition, a CD team member may interface with customers or handle research projects in collaboration with the product team they are assigned to. Our Clinical Development team also partners with the Engineering teams to develop new product ideas or enhancements to existing product lines. The Market Implementation Team is responsible for collaborating on the strategic direction and tactical implementation of marketing strategies, new and existing products and programs.
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $70000 - $85000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range compensation package during your hiring process.
Please understand that the compensation range may be modified in the future. Each amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation once such amount is earned and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefit or any other form of compensation may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
