The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking an Analyst, Media Insights to join our Consumer Marketing & Media Team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY

The Analyst, Media insights will play a key role in the AMC Networks marketing team, specifically within the media strategy and planning function. Reporting to the Director, Media Strategy, this position will focus on deriving and analyzing media and audience data insights from various external and internal tools to inform strategic media/audience planning, tactical execution, measurement, and optimization across our portfolio of linear, streaming, and FAST brands.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become the marketing team’s “power user” of external research tools including but not limited to the iSpot and 605 suite of reporting products licensed by AMCN.
  • Work in close collaboration with Performance Marketing team to cultivate insights from internal proprietary data platforms/tools to further inform media/audience strategy.
  • Work in close collaboration with Research team to knowledge share, cross-collaborate, and streamline findings that implicate media/audience strategy and planning.
  • Leverage media/audience insights to support media strategy team in plan development, audience targeting, tactical execution, and campaign (media, audience, creative) optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of category, competitive, and consumer trends.
  • Ability to pull insights and delineate implications for both owned and paid media.
  • Work in close collaboration with the media agency of record, specifically the audience analytics and media teams.
  • Regularly and proactively dive into media/audience data to uncover opportunities/flag risks across portfolio of campaigns and brands.
  • Contribute to and develop thought leadership pieces pertaining to media/audience strategy for internal socialization among cross-functional stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • 3-5 years of experience 
  • Experience analysis and derivation of insights from quantitative, qualitative, first-party, and third-party data sources.
  • Experience crafting data-driven narratives with the actionable implications for media and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite specifically advanced Microsoft Excel skills creating pivot tables, macros, etc. 
  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data sets from multiple resource outlets.
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools and data sources: 605, iSpot, Kantar, MRI, Simmons, MARS, Scarborough, nPower, comScore.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated multi-tasker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Concise and succinct written/verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and create informative, digestible narratives.
  • Entertainment category experience/interest preferred. 
  • Naturally inquisitive and leans in to the “why?”.
  • Excellent organization skills.

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.
