Analyst - Media Strategy & Analytics
Job Description
The Analyst, Performance Marketing role is responsible for supporting media planning development and campaign analytics across the AMC Networks Subscriber Video On Demand services (SVODs) in collaboration with Media Strategy, Business Intelligence and agency partners. Reporting to the SVP of Growth & Partner Marketing Strategy, this role drives media planning strategy and development based on rigorous analysis of campaign analytics and thorough understanding of AMCN subscriber goals and KPIs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the marketing subscriber acquisition forecasting process by analyzing past campaign performance and upcoming spend plans to provide data-driven recommendations on monthly campaign subscriber goals, working closely with each AMCN SVOD lead to align on determined goals and strategic outputs.
- Build, maintain and continuously refine the holistic report tracking key KPI performance of campaigns and impact on goals.
- Work closely with media agency and AMCN Marketing Strategy team to QA and ensure proper upload of content calendar, ingest of media plans, mapping of spend to campaigns/content, and actualization of spends.
- Support the development of proprietary software projection tools, in partnership with EVP of Business Intelligence.
- Monitor and report on AMCN SVOD weekly spend, performance, and impact on critical KPIs to identify early risks and opportunities in media plans and campaign set up so each AMCN SVOD can react quickly to avoid setbacks or take advantage of acquisition or retention opportunities.
- Work closely with Media Strategy & Planning to support the paid media planning across AMCN subscription video on demand services and linear networks, including digital paid media and traditional media to ensure forecasting aligns with plans and projections at the platform, campaign, and channel levels.
- Support operational and executive reporting requirements for performance marketing team based on consistent metrics and KPIs across all AMCN SVODs.
- Work with internal teams (e.g., On-Air, Partner) to ensure owned and earned support is properly accounted for in Marketing reporting.
- Help manage and reconcile the performance marketing budget, working closely with Growth Marketing Directors.
- Provide ad hoc reporting support to Performance Marketing team including Growth Marketing team.
- Provide tactical support for data collection and reporting across the multitude of reporting platforms (native and third party), including the tracking and reporting of anomalies, as well as the organization of reporting (visualizations, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- 3+ years' experience streaming/digital media marketing analytics or digital media business intelligence.
- An understanding of streaming and digital marketing KPIs including CRM metrics.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and tools specific to digital marketing.
- Very strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from data; data-driven decision maker.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communicator (verbal and written).
- A strong interest in entertainment.
- A creative eye, ear or heart
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines.
- B.A. required, preferably in a related or quantitative field.
The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.
