Network Planning Analyst

Position Overview:

This is an individual contributor position in Network Planning, responsible for allocating capacity via resource deployment and delivering a viable network plan to our Downstream Partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the capacity decisions and time table for assigned Market Ops and Logistics Locations
  • Analysis of forecasted demand volume and historical network performance in order to build an optimal fulfillment network plan that aligns with the company’s strategic initiatives
  • Timely and effective communication to/from fulfillment stakeholders regarding impacts the fulfillment plan will have on other parts of the business
  • Analyze opportunities and deploy solutions to increase speed, improve quality, and decrease cost
  • Ability to understand and change dynamic flow patterns through a complex, connective capacity network
  • Updating operating parameters across multiple technical systems with the Fulfillment Plan to be executed against
  • Supporting ad-hoc analysis and research to support ongoing projects and initiatives

What the Job Requires

To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.

  • Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience, in quantitative discipline such as supply chain, engineering, operations or STEM is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Excel and/or GoogleSheets.
  • Knowledge of python or R programming is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with scheduling software, demand modeling, transportation management systems and/or geographic information systems.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers.
