As an Analyst, you'll complete adjustments on Keynote to transactions affected by unit value corrections. You will work on all collections that are currently being turned over to third part collection agencies.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviews rejected price correction adjustment reports daily for needed adjustments and analyzes how best to process the adjustment.
  • Calculates the adjustments to be taken from existing mutual funds when the fund with the bad price has no further units.
  • Completes corrections on the tax system if necessary (only if reversal/reapply is completed on withdrawals).
  • Audits work for quality assurance.
  • Maintains records of work using open image of corrections.
  • Advises teams of adjustment activity, so they are prepared to answer questions from customers
  • Reports statistics to management regarding correction activity with standard Pension response letters.
  • Provides the Case Service Specialist with all information necessary to initiate the collection process for collections created by price corrections.
  • Attempts to recoup funds. If the collection is due to a plan cash out, the administrator could be communicating with the PPA, the institutional funding successor and/or the plan sponsor. If the collection is due to a participant withdrawal, the administrator could be communicating with the participant as well.
  • Involves counsel if participant wants to negotiate periodic partial payments.
  • Clears incoming suspense ledger of collected funds.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Manager and does not have direct reports.

Typical Skills and Experience:

Education: Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, business administration, communication, marketing or related areas.

Experience: Three or more years of experience in customer service in a financial services environment, relationship management, communications, sales management or related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Knowledge of Nationwide's suite of financial products. Knowledge of retirement services and familiarity with the legal climate surrounding pensions and retirement benefits. Excellent verbal and written communications skills to manage relationships with internal and external customers. Attention to detail, and ability to research problem situations thoroughly. Good customer service etiquette.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.
