Summary:

The Analyst shall review the day-to-day activities involving the establishment, management and oversight of utility accounts for the company. The responsibilities of this position shall include developing and maintaining contacts with utilities for setting-up, reviewing and disconnecting utility services with a focus on electricity. This position shall coordinate all third-party support services and organizations used to supply detailed and specialty utility services to the company. Additionally, this position will support invoice payment activities including preparation, verification and submission for payment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate utility service connections with utility companies, including IOUs, cooperatives and municipalities
• Utilize software platform to prepare utility invoices for review and payment and secure requisite approvals as needed
• Analyze and prepare cost and usage reports for budgeting and for management
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or experience in lieu of degree
• 2 - 5 years of work experience
• Excellent Excel Skills
• Communication and team working skills
• Knowledge of accounts payable and treasury processing protocols

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

• The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
• The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
• The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Knowledge
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous work experience in dealing with the utility industry in account set-ups, billing error corrections, disconnection, preferred

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
