Your Impact

As Analyst, Pricing & Yield, you will be an expert on our sales systems and the data they generate to analyze our ad sales process. You'll develop reporting and communicate insights to help drive new strategies to grow revenue.

As part of the Revenue Analytics team, this team is charted with using this data to highlight advertiser spending trends and sales team performance. You'll work closely with Sales/Finance leadership to report this performance on an ongoing basis.

You'll also be tasked with understanding the performance of our ad products and monetization experiences. Your team will track monetization trends across our portfolio to make recommendations on ad experiences and monetization strategies.

In the role, you will dive into data, build reports and communicate opportunities to our stakeholders. Insights can create outcomes, and we aim to provide intelligence to help drive collaborative discussion and prioritization across the Revenue operation.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the Director, Pricing & Yield to build processes and data sets to drive better deal making. This includes:
  • Building, managing and updating our core digital pricing (rate card), agency rates, and associated packaging frameworks.
  • Developing inventory forecasts across our product suite, highlighting areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Create shared understanding of margin management and develop best practices to support healthy Financial outcomes.
  • Work with partners in Marketing to develop pricing for custom programs
  • Collaborating with Account Management team to align pricing and inventory trends with enterprise-planning frameworks, to drive speedy "go-to-market" and client satisfaction.
  • Tracking post-sale delivery escalations in partnership with Campaign Management teams, to help
  • mitigate risks and provide insights on optimization opportunities.
  • Distribute regular reporting that provides a holistic view of inventory, and monetization metrics.
  • Evaluate ad product performance. Provide new insights to our Product, Sales and Finance leadership teams. Develop a deep understanding of our ad product experiences to suggest optimization opportunities, balancing great user experience and monetization.
  • Partner with Finance teams to balance needs between financial reporting, and operational analysis, insights, and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all primary source data: SalesForce (CRM), AdPoint (OMS), ad server data transfer files (GAM), and any other sources that help us better understand how our advertisers meet our audiences.

Who You Are

  • 1-2 years advertising yoeld or analytics experience. Minimum 3-4 years in media, advertising required.
  • Experience building media plans and managing campaigns for a digital publisher is preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. Masters Degree preferred.
  • Deep understand of digital web analytics, audience and automated buying channels.
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills.
  • Highly competent user of Excel, Salesforce
  • and other reporting platforms.
  • Ability to "see past the numbers", adapt to change and effectively explain concepts to audiences with varying levels

    of experience/understanding

This role requires the position to be located in New York with an in-office presence of 2+ days a week.

The base salary for this role is between $64,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
