LEAD ORACLE FAW ANALYST/PROGRAMMER

My name is David Slaymaker and my company, Innova Solutions, is immediately hiring a Lead IT Analyst/Programmer to support a leading healthcare provider with their Oracle reporting and analytics (R&A) solutions by building and maintaining key data, reporting and analytics via OTBI, BI Publisher and the Oracle Analytics / Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW). Success in this role will require the ability to lead, direct and execute data, reporting and analytical needs through all analytics project stages: Business Understanding, Data Understanding, Data Acquisition and Preparation, Testing, Validation, Visualization/Model Development, Deployment, Maintenance, and Retirement.

Location: 100% Remote

Contract: Full Time

Pay Range: $50-60 W2/hourly

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build and test data augmentation and reporting solutions in the Oracle Analytics / Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) including processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis, in partnership with Information Technology
  • Build data models in Oracle BI Publisher for report development consumption.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and deliver key Oracle Analytics / Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) and ERP/HCM (OTBI and BI Publisher) reporting dashboards, analytics, and extracts.
  • Schedule and deploy ad hoc and recurring analytics.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other domains to create reporting functional and technical design documentation (FDDs/TDDs) that accurately document required functionality.
  • Engage with Harwick Project implementation partner for onboarding and knowledge transfer.
  • Regression test solutions as part of regular upgrade cycle for both Oracle Fusion and Oracle Analytics / Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) products.
  • Work with subject matter experts and data scientists, software developers, and knowledge engineers to architect translational solutions that derive and represent the knowledge useful to customers.

OTHER RESPONSIBIILTIES:
  • Advise departments on developing a strategy and new approaches for deriving information or knowledge and delivery into workflows.
  • Work with domain experts and/or data scientists to build new tools to address critical gaps in translating information and knowledge to meet clinical needs.
  • Design new translational informatics approaches, adapting them to a specific problem.
  • Design and oversee the experiments that validate the informatics solutions.
  • Deep understanding of clinical or business workflows and informatics/AI impact on them.
  • Communicates required change management needs to informatics staff and customers to enable create of change management plan.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS - This role:
  • Requires deep understanding of the ways in which information (i.e. meaningful data) is converted into knowledge (i.e. a justified, true belief) and how they contribute to posing hypotheses, developing theories, and proposing experimental tests of new questions suggested by the theories.
  • Identifies substantive problems where different representations, algorithms and methods can be used to inform practice; developing new representations, algorithms and methods as needed.
  • Demonstrates expertise in the informatics methods used to analyze data and deep knowledge of healthcare data types, topics, approaches, and scientific challenges.
  • Understands the informatics methods used to analyze data along with healthcare data types, topics, approaches, and scientific challenges.
  • Requires mastery in architecting newly derived knowledge into workflows, designs or redesigns software applications to optimize data management, extraction, and analysis as required.
  • Evaluates and optimizes analytical procedures in the framework of specific projects, group of interconnected projects, or a translational research program.
  • Studies, develops, and applies theories, methods, and processes for the generation, storage, retrieval, use, and management of biomedical data, information, and knowledge.
  • Will call for critical appraisal or design of knowledge representations based on cognitive, social, or organizational theories suitable in the context of real problems.
  • Studies and develops models to translate clinical data, information and knowledge for use in complex analytics and algorithms.
  • Develops frameworks for cataloging and indexing datasets and algorithms.
  • Develops and optimizes complex environments for implementing translational solutions, with respect to socio-economical, behavioral, and ethical considerations.
  • Drives development of technical ecosystems to effectively leverage the data, identity, and integration platforms to enable translation of health IT solutions into the practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with relational (SQL) databases
  • Strong grasp of analytics, and core data warehouse concepts and design paradigms
  • Solid understanding of Oracle's analytics offerings including Fusion
  • Analytics Warehouse (FAW), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle
  • Data Integrator (ODI), and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Fusion modules, in particular Finance and Human Resources domains
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and train quickly on new technologies
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Light project management skills to lead small projects
  • Ability to partner with greater IT areas within the organization to complete technical solutions (security, architecture, etc.)
  • This position will operate on a 24/7 on-call rotation.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field including but not limited to bioinformatics, clinical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, health science nursing, pharmacy, and other medical sciences with at least 12 graduate level semester hours in clinical or bioinformatics or seven years or more of translational informatics experience.
  • The preferred candidate will possess a PhD or Master's degree with five years' experience in a relevant field such as bioinformatics, clinical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, health science, or other analytical/quantitative field.
  • Technical and business background/experience along with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in the use of scientific computing and data management packages.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate various tasks on projects.
  • Shows initiative in administration, education (seminars, training), software development, and technical reports.
  • Effective project management and communication skills.
  • Core competencies in use the underlying technologies of networking, security, and cloud computing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Deep understanding of Oracle data lineage
  • Strong SQL experience for data retrieval and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Financial (FIN) and HR (HCM) System modules
  • Strong grasp of core data warehouse concept and design paradigms
  • Desire & ability to work in a team environment and train on new Oracle technologies, including options for Oracle University certifications
  • Experience as a data scientist or developer with Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), EPM, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
