Analyst, Retail Accounting (4 Month FTC)

Primary Purpose: The Analyst will join the Tapestry Europe Retail Accounting Team for a 4-month fixed-term contract, covering 11 countries, 3 brands and 4 channels (Retail, Outlet, Ecommerce & Marketplace). The Analyst will join a high-performing team and work cross-functionally to monitor controls, key processes and provide continuous improvement.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Retail Accounting to:

• Play a key role in the monthly close process including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and closing the legal entity books
• Assist with Marketplace accounting including monthly accrual calculations, settlement reconciliations and fund drawdowns
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of sales reporting
• Reconcile cash sales and receivables
• Monitor bank statement application tool and ensure data completeness
• Ensure data integrity across reporting systems
• Liaise with Concession stores and Marketplace partners
• Support stores with sales reporting and finance queries on adhoc matters as well as relating to new store openings
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams including Treasury, IT, Tax and Retail Operations
• Support the wider Control Finance team on current initiatives and AOP approved projects

The accomplished individual will possess:

• Minimum 3 years+ retail accounting experience
• University Degree in a relevant field or ACA/ACCA qualified/part-qualified
• Strong accounting technical knowledge
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter, takes initiative and highly motivated
• Ability to multitask and adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• SAP experience
• ReconNet and Blackline experience
• European language skills is desirable
