Role Summary
Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and working knowledge of
related disciplines within the Middle Office. Leads or assists with projects or work streams that are related to security reference data across the firm. Accountable for work of self and sometimes
others and provides guidance on the process and standards. Works independently and receives
minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience or junior team members. Directly administers the process of security reference data related activities and trade
service processes. Works under minimal supervision with direct accountability for checklist and daily processes.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with securities trading, compliance, operations, relationship managers, technology teams and vendors to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, proven ability to work independently, demonstrated political savvy, ability to
influence and negotiate with others and superior analytic and problem-solving abilities. Point of
contact for escalations for identified issues and seeks guidance on appropriate corrective actions. Prepares and reviews standard documentation for one or more areas regarding security set ups, maintenance, etc. Reliance on identifying process improvement opportunities. Follows established controls, checklist items and follow up on items. With guidance from management, generates
periodic reports and dashboards outlining relevant operational metrics like errors, client satisfaction, responsiveness, time to resolution, etc. Bloomberg knowledge is preferable, additional experience with market data is helpful. Identifies data quality, security reference data mining and that the data is correct. Knowledge of trade support and broader trade life cycle knowledge for Middle Office
functions. Aggregates feedback for management and third-party vendors on timeliness and quality.

Qualifications:
- Apply knowledge of the broader industry environment and client account trends to contribute to the refinement or redevelopment of processes, protocols, and/or technologies for an improved client experience.
- Works directly with securities operations, relationship managers, portfolio managers, and custodians to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience.
- Leads and provides guidance on transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers.
- Assists and helps manage relationships with third-party providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met and holding them accountable to established service-level agreements.
- Oversees processes and ensures the implementation of new policies to follow regulations. Participates in cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives designed to improve accuracy, generate efficiencies, and reduce risk.
- Assists and helps direct, motivate, and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
- Experience in investment operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships
- Demonstrated initiative to proactively initiate process improvement opportunities
- Grasps complexities and perceives relationships among issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the securities or financial services industry
