Analyst, Shared Services - Reporting & Analytics
Job Description
- Role is comprised of ALL project based work
- Compile and analyze data, identify recommendations and business cases for process improvements
- Work across various departments, business units and geographical locations
- Document new business processes and work instructions
- Assist in creating and implementing departmental metrics and reporting
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster business relationships
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be able to understand Finance needs and supporting Information Systems capabilities
- Comfort in presenting results/progress
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to tolerate ambiguity and lack of structure during early phases
- Up to 30% travel
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus
- Beginner/Advanced skills in Alteryx platform (Designer and Server) with a minimum certification of Alteryx Designer Core or willingness to become certified
- Beginner/Advanced designer skills in PowerBI/Tableau or similar data visualization systems
- Proficient in using database systems such as SQL and/or Snowflake
- Experience using:
- ERP systems (Oracle, JDE, SAP, etc.)
- Robotic Process Automation (UiPath, Power Automate, etc.)
- Advanced Programming (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Familiarity with Cognos
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Powerpoint)
