We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst Accounting to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN
Job Summary:
This position will help ensure success of Accounts Payable team objectives through support of the Taulia /ReadSoft e-invoicing platform and Vendor Master Data management. This position will support internal and external customers through multiple roles ranging from vendor master, vendor-invoicing support, disbursement monitoring, as well as support for multiple legal entities related to indirect Accounts Payable.Provides expert-level guidance to other analysts in the handling of complex issues and acts as a work leader. Maintains accounts and records for a division, for consolidated accounting or for a specialized accounting area such as accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable or receivable, fixed assets, budget, tax or other areas. Compiles and analyzes complex financial information to prepare reports, makes general ledger entries, and reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
Job Description:
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
- Functions as a team resource on special projects with high impact on company business activities, including responsibility for coordination of projects with other departments, vendors and suppliers.
- Actively involved in the month-end and year-end accounting close process as it relates to Accounts Payables.
- Prepares reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to the various records.
- Analyzes accounts, prepares reconciliations and researches open items and account discrepancies; coordinates resolution of difficult issues with management and other department representatives, recommends solutions to problems, and implements approved solutions.
- Provide expert level customer service for all supplier-invoicing issues.
- Provide guidance and training to new employees related to internal policies managed by Accounts Payable team.
- Provides assistance in enrollment and training of new vendors in Taulia.
- Provide expert level system knowledge as it relates to Accounts Payable, SAP, and Taulia (e-invoicing).
- Monitors disbursements to ensure timely and accurate payments to maximize working capital. Monitors bank transactions as they relate to Accounts Payable for accuracy and timeliness.
- Regularly reviews processes, anticipates needs of the department and looks for areas for improvement; makes recommendations and implements solutions.
- Liaison as a prime contact with the IT department as well as other accounting and finance organizations.
- Updates policies and procedures.
- Scope, plan, design, test, modify and install accounting systems/or new accounting schemes and related software programs/upgrades.
- As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Minimum Qualifications:
The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
1. Job Knowledge and Skill: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); basic understanding of International Accounting Standards (IAS); strong knowledge of assigned accounting area with good knowledge of financial statement preparation; strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to function without supervision; ability to prioritize, and complete multiple assignments; able to improve efficiency through process improvements and automation.
2. Experience: Five or more years of related experience at a professional level.
3. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. MBA or CPA preferred.
4. Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce standard and non-standard, creative products.
