We are seeking an Analyst Senior, Accounting to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary

Responsible for the proper accounting of all activity related to Nissan North America (NNA) vehicles from receipt to domestic or export wholesale, including valuation, wholesale accrual, accessories, and company vehicles. Serves as subject matter expert for functional area and represents group on projects and initiatives. Prepares journal entries, reconciliations, ad hoc reports and complex analyses. Supports J-SOX compliance and external audit for functional area and may direct and review the work of others.

Job Functions

1. Preparation of complex journal entries and the management of month-end closing duties.

2. Analyzes complex general ledger accounts, prepares reconciliations, researches open items and account discrepancies; coordinates resolution of difficult issues with management and other department representatives.

3. Prepares periodic audit / ad-hoc reports and may consolidate accounts of several areas for presentation to management.

4. Participates in the scoping, planning, design, testing, modification and installation of accounting systems and related software programs.

5. Provides guidance and training to new employees and regularly reviews processes for improvements, makes recommendations and can implement solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Job Knowledge and Skill:

The candidate should have a thorough understanding of US GAAP and basic knowledge of International Accounting Standards; excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to successfully work with diverse groups; a self-starter with the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and committed to continuous improvement of key business and accounting processes and procedures; highly intellectual with strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and take corrective action when necessary. Must be able to develops & foster strategic relationships, working collaboratively & in partnership with internal & external stakeholders.

2. Experience: Minimum of five years or more experience in a professional accounting / finance role. Prior large manufacturing or public accounting experience preferred.

3. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a CPA or MBA preferred.

4. Computer Skills: Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office applications that includes advanced knowledge of Excel. SAP experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

1. Travel: Limited overnight travel is occasionally required.
