Analytical Engine Developer
Job Description
- Be part of an agile development team responsible for development of new functionality in Satellite RF link budget analysis tools.
- Ensure developed code meets Intelsat coding standards, enhance regression test suite, maximize code coverage
- Follow Intelsat IT policies and procedures, contribute to promote Devops practice and building robust CI/CD model
- Collaborate and support deployment of applications to production environment and provide postproduction support.
- As part of the development team, engage in design discussions, requirement analysis and complex problem analysis activities.
Can you drive these processes?
- Collaborate as part of Agile development team, actively engage in technical discussions, share technical ideas and contribute to improving the quality of the applications.
- Support deployment of applications - including new major releases, minor enhancements/fixes
- Perform complex debugging activities, build, and run unit tests for the code modules developed
- Learn and contribute to the design and standardization of Satellite RF link budget analysis tools.
- Provide tier 3 production application support
You should definitely have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with very strong analytical and mathematics background
- 2 years of development experience using C# and/or C++ (including work during internships)
- Full understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Relational database model
- Good knowledge of SQL language
- Ability to work independently and possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
It would be nice if you had:
- Experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Oracle PL/SQL
- Development of engineering/scientific applications, preferably on Satellite RF link analysis tools
- Microservices and API development
- Strong focus on quality
