Encova Insurance has an immediate opening for an Analytics Analyst for our Columbus, Ohio corporate location. In this role, you will work a hybrid schedule at our corporate office location with days in office each week. We can hire at multiple seniority levels depending on candidate qualifications. The salary range in the posting is inclusive of the Analytics Technician and Analytics Analyst I job profiles.
This role will report to the Assistant Vice President, Product Analytics.

JOB OBJECTIVE:
Collect and integrate appropriate data and designing and/or enhancing solutions for monitoring the impact of business decisions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meet with internal analytics consultants or business partners to understand analytics needs and propose solutions.
- Develop working knowledge of available internal and external data sources, and identify, collect, and integrate data needed to address business problems.
- Develop working knowledge of our various computer programs to extract, transform, and summarize data.
- Create reports or data views to support business partners.
- Create new solutions or enhance existing tools to monitor the impact of business decisions.
- Provide clear documentation as part of governance processes.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Some experience in insurance or banking industry in a technical role (actuarial, marketing research, etc.) preferred.
- Candidate must have B.A. or B.S. in a technical major (mathematics, statistics, economics, analytics, or computer science). Other majors may be acceptable depending on mathematics or analytics background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Possess a data inquisitiveness that pushes to find patterns and understand them.
