Analytics Engineer

We’re looking for a founding Analytics Engineer to come join our brand new Data Warehouse (DWH) team focused on making internal data available across Nansen, while ensuring its accuracy and timeliness

Our DWH team will work at the intersection of data, engineering, and our product squads, and will be responsible for building downstream data models from backend services with a desire to make our internal data and how we use it a genuine competitive advantage

Our technology stack today consists of: Google Cloud Platform, dbt, Big Query and Metabase (for dashboarding)

• You'll take the lead on developing and owning core data models that enable us to make better decisions faster and help lay the foundations for a best in class Analytics Engineering team
• Design, develop and support data pipelines, warehouses and reporting systems to solve business operations, users and product problems
• Work closely with analysts to create a data analytics platform and work closely with finance to create, test and maintain data models
• Take initiative and be responsible for solutions to data quality and workflow challenges
• Drive the thinking on a scalable approach to prioritize data governance issues

Your experience

• Experience with and passion for leading Data Warehousing projects as a designer or architect, preferably in a fast growth environment
• Exceptional SQL and data modeling skills
• (nice to haves) experience working with finance (bonus points for accounting knowledge!), fluency in Python (or similar), previous experience with dbt/dataform or similar tooling
