The purpose of this role is to aid in driving the automation and digitalization for Business Unit Catalyst NORAM production sites at the shop floor level with the implementation of advanced process control and digital twin technologies. This Process and Automation Analytics Engineer is part of the Automation & Digitalization core team, covering projects related to the development and execution of advanced process control, digital infrastructure and analytics development.
Responsibilities
- You will assist in digitalization roadmap of the region production sites for our Catalyst division while aligning with other regions in this effort.
- Responsbile for aidding in building digital twins of the priority production lines and relevant production processes
- Serve as member of team who will be responsible for driving software and automation project execution at the region production sites
- Responsible for assisting in the build of apps and dashboards using data analytics, advanced control algorithms and digital twins to improve KPIs
- You will assist in driving the implementation of advanced analytics and process controls infrastructure at the region production sites
- Will also perform other task to be defined by Analytics lead for the region.
Requirements
- You should have a Bachlors of Science (or Mastors of Science) Degree in Control Systems, Electrical/Automation Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Seeking 1-3 years of experience in either analytics, data sciences, design of industrial control systems or working knowledge of one or several SCADA/DCS, PLC system (More experienced level candidates will also be considered and are encouraged to apply).
- Knowledge/experience in one or several of algorithms for machine learning or controls (Multivariable Control, Model Predictive Control, Kalman Filters, Optimization) preferred.
- Good understanding of process control instrumentation concepts and practices, OT Network would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, Python, Osisoft PI and object-oriented programming (in one or combination), Power BI experience is perferred but not required.
- Experience in chemical or petrochemical processes is an advantage
- Experience modelling and simulation would be a plus
