Analytics engineer for Business Intelligence

Job Description

We are currently looking for a talented analytics engineer to develop and analyse data on our most valuable assets using our data warehouse and data platforms. As an engineer in the Business Analytics team, you will get the opportunity to work on strategic projects relating to people, performance, marketing and more.

Joining Implement, you will have a lot of influence on what your job will consist of, depending on your skills and interests. However, you must be eager to develop your expertise in the data that tells the story of our people and their performance.

What will you be doing?

The job will have a lot of aspects, but it will as a minimum include the following:

• Identifying relevant existing and new data sources
• Building data models and tools to be used by the whole organisation
• Starting our data pipeline journey for new sources of data and tools (e.g. advanced analytics beyond tabular models)
• Translating complex data into engaging reports and tools that tell the right story
• Working with different stakeholders to form a strategy based on data

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate who has a master’s degree in a relevant field and 1-2 years of full-time working experience.

Your methodical and communication skills are outstanding, and you can work independently on projects. Furthermore, you have the ability to maintain a holistic view while also being able to zoom in on the finer details.

It is a requirement that you have:

• Experience with data modelling and transformation
• Experience with SQL and Power BI
• Experience with Python
• Experience with data ingestion, visualisation, and utilisation
• The ability to work independently on a large project, taking on different roles at the same time
• Strong methodical and communication skills

We would prefer if you have:

• Experience with coding in MDX and/or DAX
• Experience in cloud tools, preferably Azure
• Experience with Git and possess a DevOps mentality
• Experience working with varying data sources simultaneously and possess the ability to interconnect different data platforms

It would be cool if you have:

• Experience with Machine Learning and GenAI
• Experience working with different databases (NoSQL and SQL) on a higher level than SELECT queries, i.e. optimisation
• Experience with building durable data pipelines ensuring consistency and quality in the data and optimising for redundancy amongst data points
