GDIA Mission and Scope
The Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) department at Ford Motor Credit Company is looking for motivated and talented individuals to support Knowledge Based System (KBS) in Production during the process of financing customers including supporting credit analysts in the field, prediction of defaults and mechanized credit decisioning.
Specifically, the duties will include maintaining and expanding the capabilities of production KBS by requirements generation, prototyping, testing, answering AdHoc requests and implementation of changes.
In this position
The KBS Development and Deployment group in Credit GDI&A department is responsible for Development and Maintenance of the Loan Origination Process for acquiring consumer and commercial auto loans. The KBS Analytics Scientist in this team has a key role of supporting:
- Scoring Data Features developed from Expert Knowledge used in Probability of Payment (POP), Probability of Approval (POA), Probability of Default (POD) models
- Electronic Credit Decisioning for FCNA
- Research new scoring concepts to address constantly changing business needs
- Electronic messages created to support Non-Financial Requirements for Dealers
- Electronic messages created to support Credit Analysts
- Digital tools and methodologies utilized to drive business transformation
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Develop deep knowledge of the Loan Origination application, data, processes
- Develop new or modifying existing business rules based on Risk Management Business Requirements
- Implement Machine Learning (ML) Scoring POP Models
- Enhance and supporting Electronic Credit Decision models for FCNA
- Develop predictive characteristics for Credit Scoring used in POP/POA/POD models based on analysis of Credit Bureau and application data
- Create and supporting delivery system that communicates deal structure analysis (strengths/weaknesses/considerations) to assist Credit Analysts with manual decisions
- Create and supporting Id Variation, Fraud Detection and directives for marketing plans used in Electronic Rate Delivery process
- Research new scoring concepts to support new business requirements (e.g., Fraud Detection)
- Perform post launch verification by checking the final implementation of the models and other deliverables in the production environment
- Utilize digital tools and methodologies to drive business transformation
Qualifications
You'll have
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or similar.
- 5+ years of strong programming skills in developing, testing, implementing, debugging software
- Strong analytical skills and experience with production software
- Prior IT Experience
- Programming Languages like Java, C++, LISP preferred
- Good understanding of Cloud platform infrastructure like GCP
