Analytics Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
The Analytics Senior Data Engineer works as part of the technical data management team, supporting the needs of data scientists and analytic developers tasked with building interactive information systems, running queries and algorithms against distributed data assets for predictive analytics, machine learning and data mining purposes. The Analytics Senior Data Engineer will partner with business units and development departments to deliver data aggregations to executives, business analysts and other consumers of more traditional types of data. They will seek to aid in ongoing operations, downstream data entities and build with an eye towards transfer of support (training/documentation).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience implementing large enterprise level data and analytic solutions required.
- Minimum five (5) years of development in medium to large sized development teams covering a variety of creation and delivery roles required.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with release and deployment functions required.
- Expertise with SQL and traditional and modern ETL principles required. Knowledge of PySpark preferred.
- Expertise in two or more of the following languages required: Python, Scala, Java, R
- Experience with Amazon's AWS big data services like EMR, Redshift, and Redshift Spectrum preferred.
- Experience with Unix/Linux OS and can write simple to moderate shell scripts using Bash required.
- Experience with SAS preferred.
- Experience implementing big data solutions or other analytics solutions preferred.
- Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully analyze, identify, implement and monitor outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in technical solution design and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify problems, as well as recommend and/or implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability manage multiple projects.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment.
Annual salary range: $115,000 - $130,000
CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
