DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software, and deliver specific data content through multiple channels. Collaborate on the design, development, operating model, and implementation of a new ad-hoc data extraction tool which will develop future dashboards while ensuring adaptation to evolving technologies. Ensure that the developed data extraction tool supports a user base of data analysts by including features that query an analytics environment both on premises and on a cloud-based data platform. Implement stored procedures and SQL code in MySQL and SQL Server to clean the incoming data. Analyze raw data with various formats like text and Excel, and perform data modeling. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. Develop recommendations and create dynamic reports using business intelligence (BI) solutions. Provide database coding to support business applications using SQL Server and other programming languages for development. Work within research and development (R&D), technology evaluation/prototyping, and operationalization and controls in order to define integration patterns within other tools and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Analytics, Systems Management/Engineering, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: developing and delivering analytics solutions; business intelligence; technology development leveraging reporting tools; Tableau; Python; optimizing data models to ensure flexibility and support reporting needs; writing SQL code; MySQL; SQL Server; Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Job Location: 10 S Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60603. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
