Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a passionate and driven individual that wants to be part of a fast-moving company and award-winning team that is transforming finance through connected forecast and planning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Anaplan Forecast and Planning team to help deliver the future of connected forecasting and planning. The Anaplan Product Owner is a new role in Autodesk's Business Intelligence and Automation group and is responsible for a variety of objectives. The ideal candidate thrives on being helpful and works hard to build and foster relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You know how to balance short term business needs with long term strategy, making trade-offs when appropriate with business realities, and pushing back when necessary. You are someone that cares about how people and business processes operate. A successful candidate has experience in FP&A and has used Anaplan before, either as an end-user or model builder. You love a fast-paced calendar driven environment and have the courage to ask inquisitive questions that improve financial business processes and help people do their work in a more efficient way.

This role collaborates with Product Managers, Program/Project managers, Finance Business Partners, Finance Operations, and Model Builders and reports to the Anaplan Forecast and Planning Senior Manager. Communication skills are critical, and you must be comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Triage, review and collaborate with stakeholders to adequately understand their issue or change request and document into actionable stories for the model builders using Jira
• As the first point of contact for end user problems, provide tier 1 support by either solving their problem, teaching them how to solve on their own, or involve a model builder if the issue is a critical defect
• Ownership and facilitator of meetings/ceremonies (standup, backlog review, UAT, etc.) for each core FP&A sprint
• Perform administrative FP&A functions in the Anaplan models. I.e. Reconciling differences between Anaplan and source systems, granting user access, snapshots
• Understand end-to-end FP&A business processes and how the Anaplan models operate within that process
• Contribute to the scoping and prioritization of enhancements and implementation of new Anaplan product features and balance that between technical debt to ensure stability of the models
• Contribute to various communications and progress updates to the business and technical team through use of various metrics for velocity, sprint health, etc.
• Organize and shepherd user acceptance testing with end users to ensure on-time releases
• Provide hands-on training to end users to facilitate adoption of the Anaplan models
• Create training materials and contribute to FAQs

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience delivering software as a scrum master, product owner, product or project manager using highly-iterative software-focused work practices - Lean, Agile, Anaplan Way
• Experience managing the teams' work in progress and backlogs
• Demonstrated ability to manage business requirements with technical feasibility and trade-offs
• Walked-the-walk and has a strong finance background delivering forecasts during the quarter end stress
• A love of helping people through stressful situations by helping them solve a problem or discovering the source of data discrepancies that unblock them from making progress
• Adaptability to work in a large team, small team, independently, remote and in-person
• Hunger to learn and adopt Anaplan's ever-evolving platform
• Learned how to learn. You have an undergrad degree in finance, business, or engineering or have a combination of other education and equivalent work
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to switch contexts and dissect information between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easily
• Used Anaplan extensively as an end user or have Anaplan model builder certification so that you can ramp up quickly
