Job Summary:
This position is a key member of SHC's core software team and will be responsible for short development cycles and frequent updates to public-facing mobile applications. This position should have a good understanding of mobile applications development.

Essential Functions:

• Designs and implements Android mobile applications.
• Performs application development, unit testing, support to QA, and production support
• Provides and adheres to best-practices for Android mobile application development
• Develops/maintains build systems, tools, and reusable components
• Gathers functional requirements to generate technical design specifications and build mobile applications
• Other duties as required

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Design or a directly-related field from an accredited college or university

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of directly related experience. Prefer at least 1 year of experience developing mobile applications for Android.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Android development environment
• Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes
• Knowledge of best practices for implementation of multi-language / international applications
• Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and data structures
• Experience writing code for multitasking systems
• Ability to create and maintain build and unit test systems using the Android or iPhone development toolchains
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
