TikTok Experience-mobile team is responsible for providing the best industry experience for users to consume video content. In this team, you will be working with our XFN partners to define a world-class user experience. This includes playback experience: low-latency and fluent video playback, efficient encoding and decoding, high quality videos; mobile experience: short app launch time, smaller app-size, wise power control and refined strategy via on-device ML. mobile reliability: high stability, accurate online alarm and disaster recovery system, complete version release assurance. The Vision of team is "Making the user experience and reliability one of the core product competitiveness of TikTok.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product and other engineering teams to define a world-class app experience.
- Build key experience metrics, analyze and optimize applications for quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Continuiously optimize app performance and improve reliability on complex device models and network environment. Including playback, power, fluency and resource.
- Design and build the anti-deterioration system to prevent experience regression.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of the Android platform.
- Experience in Android developing languages, with a solid understanding of application design philosophies, clean API design, etc.
- Working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client side persistence, and architectural patterns on mobile apps

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience in sub-engineering areas such as performance optimization, tool-chain, automated testing, design pattern, etc.
- Strong communication skills; enjoy working as a team while being comfortable with delivering large business outcomes independently
