Job Summary:

Animators work with the Game Designers, Directors, and Stakeholders to conceive, create, and deliver compelling effects and animations for Mobile and Web Slot Games. Animators work with Illustrators and Production Artists on a variety of game styles, graphical elements, and features to deliver the finished assets to the development teams in a complete, organized, and well-documented fashion. They should have the talent and ability to deliver exceptional quality using multiple techniques and effects.

Animators are expected to be proficient users of After Effects, as well as other Adobe products and/or other animation software. Particle effects creation in Unity is a plus.. Knowledge of the following artistic categories are beneficial: illustration, special effects, color theory, rigging, 2D & 3D animation

Essential Job Functions:

· Work closely with, and follow direction from Director, Game Designers, and Stakeholders to produce high-quality animations and effects

· Create optimized animation assets in an iterative process and publish all art and animation assets with minimal mistakes

· Demonstrate ability to follow dictated file structure and organization for delivery of art and animation assets

· Demonstrate ability to provide all necessary assets, demonstration videos, and documentation within expected deadlines

· Continually sharpen art and animation abilities through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members

· Re-purposing and modifying existing art assets for alternative/future use

· Display a high degree of professionalism at all times, accepting critique from the Director, Game Designer, Stakeholders, and other team members

· Be prepared to learn new software and adapt to new development processes when necessary

· Share creative, technical, and development techniques with other team members within the studio

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivilent

Required Experience:

· Minimum 2 years of Experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

· High level of proficiency in After Effects and two or more of the following: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Unity, Blender, Maya, 3ds Max

· Exceptional talents in multiple artistic categories, including: 2D or 3D animation, modeling & rendering, special effects. Some Illustration required.

· Experience in MS Office

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to follow direction and accept constructive criticism

· Ability to offer valid constructive criticism to co-workers

· Ability to learn, expand talents and skill sets

· Ability to explore new styles and self-assess abilities.

· Knowledge of 2D or 3D Rigging is a plus

· Experience with Unity Particle Systems is a plus

· Knowledge of Scrum development is a plus

· All applicants MUST provide a Portfolio or Demo Reel of professional and/or personal work in Web or Digital format to be considered for interview. Portfolios/Demos should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s animation talents and software proficiency.
