AP Clerk

Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will ensure that all vendor invoices are reconciled and processed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Review, verify, process and reconcile transactions for operational expenses to ensure accuracy and approval.
• Code expenses to the proper general ledger accounts
• Communicate with Vendors and other internal departments
• Review and respond to incoming e-mails, phone inquiries from vendors and internal departments
• Prepare checks and electronic payments for signing/approval on scheduled payment terms
• Prepare analysis of monthly operational expenses to identify inconsistencies
• Research and resolve any discrepancies and issues
• Respond to vendors' inquiries
• Request and reconcile vendor's monthly statements
• Reconciliation and calculations of credits relating to Preferred Vendor Programs
• Provide support during annual and other audits as required
• Process and pay employee expense
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a similar function
