AP Lead

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Lead is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the organization. Duties include daily GL coding, record keeping, payment application and generating reports. The Accounts Payable Lead will reconcile and verify invoices as well as statements. Finally, the AP Lead will provide leadership to at least two accounts payable team members as direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Monitor AP aging and clean up old, aged items on a monthly basis
• Assist in training new team members as needed
• Close communication with department leads to stay on track of payment processing
• Enter and code GL for AP Vouchers.
• Maintain the payment proposal
• Assist the AP department in improving the current process
• Prepare ACH forms, scan, save and mail checks
• Monitor AP Inbox
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of high-volume accounts payable experience
• Basic knowledge of business functions
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to details.
