Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees reports regarding cash flow; ensures correct payments are made in a timely manner.
- Receives and verifies expense reports and credit card reconciliations; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
- Reconciles accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records
- Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
- Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains vendor permanent file and ensure required documentation (e.g., W-9, W-8) is current and in compliance with all applicable tax requirements.
- Prepares, maintains, submits monthly, quarterly, year-end filings (e.g., 1099's, unclaimed property reports)
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years Accounts Payable experience: Preferred
- Experience working in accounting with foreign currencies: Preferred
- Experience with NetSuite ERP: Preferred

Salary Range: $26.00 to. $32.00 per hour depending on experience.
