AP/GL Accountant (Contract)

Contract Dates: Start of January 2023 - End of June 2023  

Ridgeline’s Finance team is looking for temporary help from an experienced Accountant. You will be working on several initiatives, such as accounts payable, payroll entry, vendor contract management, travel and expense management, among others. This is the perfect job to gain meaningful experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, and fun environment. 

This position reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and is based in our Reno or Incline Village, NV office. We are not considering remote employees at this time. 

What will you do?

• Perform AP-related functions including payments to vendors using Bill.com
• Prepare JE and adjust JEs in General Ledger. Reconcile transactions to GL and accounting records
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close of books and records; assist in the preparation of schedules, reports, and records analysis require;
• Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
• Reconcile company credit card statements monthly
• Perform other accounting tasks and ad hoc analysis as required
• Input payroll data, assist with compliance item, and all aspects of payroll operations
• Assist with Finance and Company projects as needed
• Review travel and expense reports for adherence to Company policies

Preferred Skills and Experience 

• Experience in Accounting, Finance, or relevant fields
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed level bookkeeping support – accounts payable, accounts receivable, and closing the books monthly
• Payroll Entry and LOA Experience
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while working with confidential data
• Year End Knowledge - W2/1099 preparation & benefit true-ups
• Serious interest in having fun at work

Nice to haves:

• Accounting experience using QuickBooks Online
• An aptitude for problem solving 
• Year End Knowledge - W2/1099 preparation & benefit true-ups
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing
• Willingness to consistently and accurately follow established policies and procedures
