What is this position about?

You will be an integral part of a diverse team, collaborating with talented engineers at a prominent multinational company in the US specializing in streaming devices and Smart TVs, supporting both advertising and subscription models on its platform. As an API Engineer, your primary focus will be the design, build and maintenance of APIs that allow different software applications to communicate with each other. The role requires seamless coordination with various stakeholders to foster team collaboration and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

You may work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM, or you can always join us at the office!

Job Description

• Design, and development of robust APIs, ensuring they align with industry best practices and standards.

• Maintain and optimize existing APIs, proactively identifying and resolving any performance or compatibility issues.

• Conduct regular reviews to ensure the security and reliability of the API infrastructure. 

• Implement rigorous testing procedures to validate the functionality, reliability, and security of APIs. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

Qualifications

• Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Proficient in Java. Experience utilizing the Java Spring Framework.

• Solid proficiency in Python.

• Strong background in API testing. 

• Knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus. 

• Nice to have: Open API, Data Engineering knowledge (ETL processes), ads fundamental knowledge.

What about languages?

Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication is a must!

How much experience must I have?

We're looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in API Engineering.
