APIGEE Engineer

Responsibilities

• SME in APIGEE (OPDK and/or Hybrid) operations, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and management

• Analyses incidents, coordinates with application owners to help troubleshoot and fix issues related to the APIGEE platform

• Perform platform upgrades, base image upgrades, certificate updates, scaling and other maintenance activities on a regular basis

• Lead root cause analysis sessions to understand Production issues and produce solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future

• Participate in capacity planning and management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle current and additional transactions in the future

• Ensures adherence to SLAs by resolving tickets

• Performs system health checks and reports anomaly

• Setup and manage Apigee instances/clusters distributed between data centers

• Provide on-call support for Apigee platform

Qualifications

• Strong experience in setting and running Apigee API platform (OPDK and/or Hybrid) Experience with Apigee Management APIs and integrations with enterprise systems including Infrastructure & Application monitoring, SAML or LDAP SSO, and Logging.

• Experience in setting up continuous integration of source code pipelines using Gitlab, Jenkins, Terraform, and continuous deployment pipelines using Artifactory

• Experience with high availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee.

• Expertise in configuring the Apigee Private Cloud platform, including keystores, truststores, and KVMs.

• System/network administrator level experience of Unix/Linux

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Python and Unix shell scripting is required.

• Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.

• Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform.

• Have previously worked on an enterprise platform team that supports multiple Software Development product teams.

Skills considered as plus

• Experience with GitOps, Flux, Helm

• Knowledge and good understanding of K8s, containers and EKS

• Good understanding of Cassandra and Zookeeper
